Worktap

Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

Worktap.ca (“Worktap”, “we”, “us”) operates a Toronto-focused job board for trades, hospitality, transport, fitness, and related work. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. If you use Worktap from the European Economic Area or UK, additional rights under GDPR may apply as described below.

1. What we collect

We keep our collection narrow by design:

We do not collect resumes, candidate profiles, or broad behavioural profiles beyond what is listed above.

2. How we use information

We use email addresses and job data only for legitimate Worktap purposes: operating the site, reviewing and displaying listings, sending messages you have signed up for or that relate to your listing, security, and responding to you when you reach out.

We never sell your email or listing information. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles for unrelated third parties.

3. Analytics and tracking

We do not use third-party advertising networks, remarketing pixels, or cross-site ad tech on Worktap.ca.

For statistics about how the site is used, we may use Google Analytics (GA4) and/or Plausible Analytics. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to measure visits and interactions; data is processed by Google according to their policies. We use it to understand traffic and improve Worktap—not to run third-party advertising on other sites. Plausible, where enabled, is designed to be privacy-oriented and does not use cross-site advertising profiles. Neither tool is used to sell your browsing history to unrelated ad networks.

4. Cookies

Worktap does not use cookies for behavioural advertising or third-party ad targeting. Essential cookies or similar mechanisms may be used only as needed for core site functions (for example keeping an admin session secure after you sign in). Analytics providers may set their own cookies as described in section 3 (for example Google Analytics). We do not use cookies for behavioural advertising or third-party ad targeting unrelated to running Worktap.

5. Service providers

We use trusted infrastructure and tooling (such as hosting, database, email delivery, payments where applicable, and automation) strictly to run Worktap. Those processors handle information only on our instructions and must protect it appropriately.

6. Retention

We retain emails and job-related records only as long as needed for the purposes above (for example while a listing is active or until you unsubscribe). Expired listings may be removed or archived according to operational needs.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights or ask a question, contact us at hello@worktap.ca.

For marketing or newsletter emails from Worktap: You can opt out anytime by replying STOP or clicking unsubscribe.

8. Children

Worktap is intended for adults seeking or posting employment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do; continued use of Worktap after updates means you accept the revised policy where permitted by law.
